Art inspiring art
The National Library of New Zealand has partnered with Queen Margaret College Year 13 Material Technology students to create a wearable art exhibit. The project is inspired by images in the Library’s photography collection, some of which have featured in the Focus on Photography exhibition series.
The students have been tasked with selecting a photo that inspired them, then creating a wearable art garment in response to the photo.
